Since 1995, the Carpenter Law Firm has been, and continues to be, one of the most aggressive, creative and successful subrogation boutique law firms in Texas. In 1998, the firm recognized that the potential for subrogation recoveries in Texas was expanding and that insurance companies doing business in Texas were in need of competent and aggressive legal representation in its subrogation recovery efforts. Recognizing that equitable subrogation in Texas was gaining a reputation as a viable way for insurance companies to impact its bottom line, the firm's founding partner, Scott Carpenter, repositioned his firm to better serve his clients.

In 1999, Mr. Carpenter changed the name of his firm, formerly the Law Offices of N. Scott Carpenter, to its present name, relocated the firm to a more desirable location in the North Texas area, and added attorneys and staff necessary to fully address the needs of the firm's subrogation clients. In recent years, through the firm's efforts, subrogation recoveries for its clients have more than doubled with the recoveries arising from property damage involving catastrophic fires caused by defective products and service provider negligence. In 1998, the firm handled the fire that destroyed the home and personal possessions of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Troy Aikman. The loss totaled more than $3.6 million. Through the ongoing efforts of the firm, client, and team of engineers, our client recovered in excess of 80% of the total loss. The firm continues to handle subrogation claims ranging from $10,000 to more than $3 million.
